COMMUNITY GRAND SEATING AND STAIRS
Jubilee Park, Frankston
Concretum were engaged by Lloyd Group, working directly with Frankston City Council. The brief was to install grandstand bleacher seating to create an outdoor spectator/seating space outside a new sporting facility. The total length of the seating areas was approximately 110Lm and 256m2 This included 65m2 of stairs and mass concrete footings.
CORPORATE COMMUNAL SEATING SPACES
Nexus Corporate Park, Mulgrave
Concretum were engaged by Mainbrace Constructions on behalf of the principal contractor, SALTA Group. The brief was to create a communal seating space at the entrance of 3 different office buildings. The requirement was to construct insitu concrete tiered seating, planter boxes, suspended pavement slabs, stairs, hob walls and footings. The total area of the tiered seating areas was approximately 200m2. There was approximately 60Lm of hob walls, 100Lm of stand-alone seating and planter boxes, 35m2 of access stairs &
55m3 of structural footings.
MAJOR SCHOOL SPORTS SEATING PROJECT:
St Joseph’s College, Ferntree Gully
This ambitious project encompassed the construction of 540 square meters of tiered concrete seating areas, 11 sets of access stairs, a range of outdoor seating spaces and robust structural footings. The spectator seating areas were to include a blend of curved and geometric benches, strategically positioned around the oval, hockey pitch, and running track. It was vital to create a harmonious integration between the spaces via surrounding pathways, stairs, and functional access points.
